"Concentrating on the unusual technique of lamp working, Jochen is one of very few glass artists practising this form of glass blowing in Britain. His design approach is guided by the making process and the flow of hot glass. Navigating the possibilities and restrictions of the technique and material, his objects range from free formed textured borosilicate tumblers and vases to coloured incalmo jugs and wine glasses."

“I peel back bark to reveal the organic chaos that can exist in the material itself and build up layers of texture through carving and sandblasting. I use the vessel form and surface pattern to explore the layers and fissures between creation and decay and the erosion of nature.”
Shimell and Madden

Inspired by the universal and timeless language of geometry they create modernist pieces that have a sense of the ancient. British made, they create their collections and bespoke pieces in their London studio."
"When I was a child in Japan I thought I would become a writer. My head was a full of imagination, memories, feelings, thoughts and stories. Once a while, they overtook my daily life. It wasn't always easy for a child to live in the real world and my own world at the same time. Especially as all my imagination, memories etc. just float around in my head, like clouds in the sky. I didn't know what to do with them. Now I capture the floating thoughts in ceramics. Once they were given shapes, they become grounded. I create something small almost daily at night. I call them my journal. I am writing in ceramics. By doing that, I file the information, which is, otherwise, difficult to classify, in drawers in my brain. I could bring every nuance and detail of my memories, stories, emotion and thoughts, back to life vividly when I see each sculpture."
"Building on his passion and knowledge for flowers and fragrance, Ronny Colbie introduces a line of carefully imagined fragrances and beautifully crafted candles, each one intrinsically linking scent and memory. Each fragrance has been meticulously developed using only the finest ingredients, to create refined and authentic scents, which have a personal story at their heart."
"Lovingly created by the hands of talented artisans with the deepest appreciation of the nature, our pieces are crafted to withstand the test of time and bring elegance and delight to a mindful home. This is what we define as true luxury. At Lula Green we don’t pursue the easy way, or the fastest one. We don’t follow trends. We rely on traditions. And we respect the pace of the artisan's craft. Our vision is to combine the finest quality with tradition and purpose; to create heirlooms that inspire kindness to both people and planet. Our ethos is seeking a balance between what we take, and what we can give back to nature as a gratitude for its fragile beauty."
Minne Weisz approaches her subjects, her site-specific work as an artist, as an archaeological dig. She unearths historical references to the buildings she chooses to inhabit, cataloguing these spaces in the context of history, myth and memory. With found material, photography and in some works using the camera obscura method, Weisz puts unseen narratives into play. In turning spaces themselves into large-scale pin-hole cameras, Weisz raises questions about the identity of space, of real and imagined interior worlds
Weisz’s work engages the organic haphazardness of London’s architecture, re-mapping memory within the cityscape, offering its secrets to us as we navigate through dreamscapes layered with history and fantasy. Time, memory and place in flux: luminous artefacts, gestures to past and present.

"...Two years spent teaching English for V.S.O. in Thailand during the time of the Vietnam war changed my life and on returning to England in 1974 I was determined to use my freedom to study art and ceramics. Thus I became one of the very last students at Lancaster School of Art to enrol on a ceramics course that ostensibly supported the Hornsea Pottery factory which had recently been established in the area. In practice it was a studio pottery course that taught a Leach inspired approach to ceramics..."
